Semi human with vessel on head, claws and tail, and projecting ears  - Translucent greenish white jade with pitting, erosion, calcification and suffusion.
- Creature stands on a squarish base - unusual arrangement for era.
- Seems to be more animal than human - more evolved???
- Carving is fully 3 dimentional with strongly typed features for the face.
- Lower body seems hardly human at all except for pose.
- What passes for the arms appear to be under a cloak or mantel; pose is unusual.
- Second row of pictures shows a similarly posed finial with animal torso (for comparison).
- Purpose of vessel on head and lid is mystery- was it used to make an offering?
- Jade of unknown meaning and purpose.
