Face axe with grimace - Light green jade with suffusion and cracks; partly opaque.
- Carved on both sides with 1.5 mm. relief.
- Some surfce damage is evident - this piece has been lightly cleaned but cleaning marks are visible.
- This strikes me as an older archaistic piece (SWA guess: Ming) in the style of an archaic piece.
- In particular, the 'suffusion' seems similar to other artfully aged pieces which appeared from the Song dy. on.
