Female bear sitting upright with bottle horns Light green, slightly translucent jade with russet markings and calcification. A substantial carving from the solid that sits nicely on the bear's rump and feet. Notable is the lack of surface decoration - the carving serves solely to shape the figural volumes. Mouth is open, and tongue projects a bit. Very pronounced claws on 'feet and hands' of the bear, although pose is rather human like. To me bear looks pretty ferocious although pose is rather neutral. I've no idea why the 'bottle horns' have been grafted onto a bear - usually an attribute of dragons or tigers. 9.4 x 6.1 x 3.3cm
