Seated female bear with hands on knees  - Light green opaque jade with lustrous polish.
- Calcification, light pitting and surface discoloration are evident.
- Mouth is open, tongue out, a fairly imposing picture.
- Decorated all over with small slashes simulating fur.
- The carving devotes considerable effort to detail the saging jowls.
- This piece strikes me as a modern effort with archaistic elements - the pose, the face and the sexing are similar to the upright bears discussed earlier.
- 13.9 x 7.9 x 6.1cm
