Seated bear with hands folded on chest  - Small scale carving in the round.
- Green jade altered to russet and white in spots; calcification, suffusion, crystalization and surface erosion evident.
- Traces of vermillion color adhere to inside surfaces.
- Bear has a closed mouth, longish snout and erect ears. Eyes are rendered as concentric squares with round pupils.
- Surface decoration consists of hooked lines, arcs, and incised squares.
- Bear appears to be squatting and alert.
- This piece is convincingly old in appearance - late Shang early Zhou style
