Seated bear as if on a throne - Green opaque jade with brown suffusion, pitting and calcification.
- Carving is decorated with double line, slightly raised relief: line, hooks, arcs and square spirals.
- The eyes are represented by two concentric squares with round pupils.
- Two small suspension holes at back of head.
- Bear sits upright (on its tail?) as if on a chair or throne.
- It appears to have cuffs or sleeve on arms which are resting on 'knees'.
- The carving is not overtly sexed - faint indentation where breasts might be.Â
- Mouth is closed, shown by a deeply cut line.
- Looks more like the chairman of the board than a ferocious animal.
- 6.0 x 4.5 x 3.5cm
