Gui in the shape of a bird with script  - Mostly opaque jade with great sufrace damage and calcification.
- Blade has been cleaned extensively to reduce surface calcification - no small feat given the delicate relief.
- This style of carving is fairly unusual - thin lines of jade in high relief fill the outline of the bird with whirls and squiggles.
- The glyphs on the hilt are different on the two sides.Â
- I have seen a couple of other jades carved in this manner but the details escape me.
