Circle shaped dragon with open mouth and tail  Dark green mottled jade with many cracks; suffusion, calcification and erosion also evident. Mouth is formed by a toothed hole, tail by an inverted comma hole. Flange (or collar) is broken in several places. Three wide, flat grooves are cut out from the body of the dragon. The back, or ridge, of the animal is notched in various ways, perhaps vaguely suggesting the forehead and crest of the animal. The jade has several fibrous spots - appears to be converting into actinolite. 17.6 x .49 cm (flange 7.8 cm dia) .
