Dragon with bottle horns, curled tail and ruff - Originally light green jade converted to reddish brown color; calcified with pitting and cracks.
- 'Bottle' horns are actually rather square but nicely formed; they lie flat on the back (to conserve material).
- Decoration is in thread relief with hook and lines and spirals.
- Several nice details are present: ruff on neck, fur on legs, and the nicely formed claws.
- The tail curls nicely under the animal, so the carving sits up well. There are no obvious suspension holes, although mouth hole could be used.
- This carving is nicely modelled with most features in relief and well defined.
- 5.98 x 3.68 x 1.95 cm.Â
