Pair of respectant elephants - Light green semi-translucent jade with brown glaze and some calcification; some suffusion on bottom parts.
- Matched pair with a through hole for suspension, although the carving stands up perfectly well.
- Features are accurately rendered in high relief.
- Rather naturalistic rendering of animal; no obvious decorative touches.
- Age uncertain - perhaps late Ming.
