Qin Warrior

Jade statue of a kneeling warrior
  • White translucent jade with some surface pits; no calcification, only light skin on jade.
  • Outfitted vaguely like a 'terracotta' soldier at the famous Qin emperor's tomb.
  • Fine detail (such as hair on head) is not well done and uneven.
  • Pits appear to be man-made.
  • Undoubtedly a modern carving aged slightly; nicely shaped but with sloppy details.
  • As far as I know, this pose (in jade) is a modern invention inspired by the  Qin finds.
  • 8.38 x 4.86 x 4.24 cm.
