Huang with double headed dragon and decorations  - Smoky green jade partially converted to milky white in places.
- Considerable pitting and suffusion; this piece has been aggresively cleaned.
- The top of the huang features a strutting dragon with lifted head; the lower arc is filled with decorated, modeled plant forms.
- The body of the huang has small grains with well cut spirals; the grains were evidently created in a grid pattern by intersecting cuts on each side.
- The double headed dragon has a closed mouth, but notable teeth on display!
- There is a nice relief to all the details of this carving - for example the rim is angled towards the center, not just a straight cut.
- Elaborate piercing and surmounted dragon suggest a early Han style.
- Â 12.7 x 8.06 x .44 cm.
