- Slender slabs of material have been carefully fashioned with a central panel and field of spirals for decoration.
- The pair are bookmatched, ie. cut from the same piece of material.
- The carvings have been cleaned (light abrasive marks are occasionally visible) and then polished to a mirror finish.
- Small pits and some skin 'wrinkle' is still visible on the surface.
- The overall impression is one of delicacy; perhaps a modern interpretation of the archaic 'basket weave' style?
- Age undertain.
