Archaistic jade disc with 'C' scrolls and rope pattern -  'Yellow' jade with reddish suffusion and fissures; some areas are eaten/broken off.
- A good example of artfully applied suffusion; underneath the uncolored jade shows clearly.
- The carving workmanship is high quality but not archaic - the 'C' scrolls are different from Han/Zhou style, for example.
- Since yellow jade was particularly popular in the Song-Yuan era, let's call this a conscious archaistic effort in the Yuan-Ming style .
- 7.98 x .68 cm.
