Pei 2
Monster face with fangs and crest Â
Light green translucent jade with heavy calcification and pitting.
Surface is very pitted and wrinkled.
Features are carved in high relief; mouth has frightening tusks and lolling tongue.
Above the monster is a kind of crest with a bird face(?).
Age is uncertain; the style seems similar to early Zhou monsters.
 9.0 x 5.37 x 2.85 cm.
