Turtle dragon

Turtle and dragon with beast face  
  • Pale green opaque jade with reddish suffusion and pitting. 
  • Carved in high relief with surface decoration on the bottom. 
  • Something of a cross between a frog, dragon and turtle.
  • Probably Ming or early Qing - turtle dragons, in a different incarnation, were a popular form then.
  • 5.9 x 4.7 x 1.9 cm.
